You will find information here about planned closures (other than bank holidays)
Christel will have the phone with her whilst officially closed, and will try to respond to messages but she might be abroad, so in an emergency don't wait!
The VetMobile team
The original area shown is where we will happily visit you as we have done since starting, and the fees are as stated on the prices page. We feel it is important to offer a great service locally, and so have kept our area small, but we have had much demand from pet owners outwith our original area. As a result we hav identified an extended area which we will visit within, but for a supplemental fee of £28 per visit to cover time and fuel.
If time in the diary permits, we will still visit for certain things if you are out of our extended area, such as heart or abdomen scans (we can report to your vet), euthanasia or to offer a first vacc/chipping service for litters of puppies and kittens as these can be considered a one-off service. Do contact us to ask about where you live and about our availability. Out-of-area visits have a premium added, starting from £38 depending on where you are based.
Our pop up clinics could be good for people living out of our specified visit area. Take a look at the dedicated page for these.
Have a look inside the VetMobile, as Christel shows you around!
We are here to provide home care to complement your current vet:
We offer routine care:
Health checks, vaccinations, titre testing, ID chip placement, nail trimming.
Medical issues such as:
Ear and eye problems, skin problems, mild vomiting/diarrhoea, arthritis/limping, behavioural issues.
Health screening:
Blood pressure checks, blood wellness screening, urine testing, heart scans for new murmurs, pregnancy scans.
Investigations:
Blood sampling with on board biochemistry, urine testing, culture (in-house) of urine/skin/ear infections, ultrasound of the heart or abdomen.
Small procedures:
Sedation for nail trims, grass seed removal, small wounds sutured.
We will continue to offer acupuncture.
We can supply routine flea and worming treatments and medications.
We can't replace a 'bricks and mortar' practice as we can only be in one place at a time, and being just one vet I can't be on duty all the time, but we hope to bring personalised care for you and your pets.
All of this can be at your home or at a local ’pop-up’ clinic - follow the link below, and watch our social media for more information on this.
Use the form by clicking the link above, or call, message or email us telling us you'd like to register. We will need your previous/current static vet details as it is important to keep your pet's clinical notes up to date. When you are fully regsistered we will send you a message.
Contact us to arrange for us to see your pet. Standard clinic hours 10-4 Monday to Friday. It may be possible to see you at other times/days, by special arrangement. We can only see registered clients, so make sure you plan ahead!
Wear face coverings, keep distance, wash and sanitise hands. We will aim to give a great and comprehensive service whilst keeping everyone safe.
It is much easier for us to examine and treat your pet if they and we are in the same space! Please ensure they cannot escape during our visit. Ventilation is important in COVID times but let's not give the cat an escape route...
We have a card reader and can accept bank transfers as well.
We can help you with claiming back from your insurance company if needed.
If you and your pet had a great experience, tell your friends! We offer you both a referral bonus when they have their first appointment, if they mention you when they register.
If there was anything you were unsure or unhappy about, tell us!
Attached below is a document to advise you on how we aim to work to keep our clients and ourselves safe. Please read it before your appointment.
A new member of the family is always exciting! Find out what we offer, and get advice on choosing your new best friend. .
Information on our kitten services offered and how to find the purrrfect new family member.
Due to the nature of our service it is not possible for us to provide a mobile service 24 hours a day. We can only be in one place at a time and our hours are limited. We will always do our best to see your pet if we can.
**For genuine emergencies during working hours, your registered 'bricks and mortar' vet should be your first port of call.**
If you have an 'urgent' issue, do call or message us first, we will do our best to advise if we think your pet needs to be seen, and if we can see them within a sensible time frame, or if you should arrange an appointment with your registered 'bricks and mortar' practice.
Our out of hours service is provided by VetsNow in Reading - call 01189594007. Please use this for evenings and weekends if I am not available or if I have advised you it's not something I am equipped to deal with.
Again we can only see registered clients.
Please register via the link above, we look forward to meeting you and your pet!
